Advanced Authentication with Multiple Access Levels of Authority

The eAgentX2 interface has three levels of administration to delegate user authority:

Admin, Domain Manager and User.

The Admin can see all the users in all of the domains attached to the eAgentX2 server. The admin is able to add/remove policies, domains and users. The domain manager has the authority over all users in his or her domain. For example: the NetMotion domain manager governs only the users in the NetMotion domain. Lastly Users, the user is only able to add their mobile device to the system and download their grid cards for printing. This overview of authority ensures that nobody without proper authority can do anything in the system without the right credentials.

How does eAgentX2 work?

A lot of people have been requesting more information about DCI’s eAgentX2 Advanced Authentication Software. Our user-friendly interface is simple to use and understand. Simply log in and you can add users, assign them domains, and configure their Authentication methods (policies). We offer three different methods for second factor Authentication, grid cards, SMS text, and hard token.

Here is the Users (non admins) look when accessing eAgentX2, they can add a new cellphone provider for their text authentication or download their grid cards into Microsoft word and print them out.

CJIS Advanced Authentication Mandate *Effective September 30, 2013*

“Authentication” refers to the process of verifying users’ identities when requesting access to Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) systems. One-Factor Authentication is when a user logs in with only a user name and password. Two-Factor or Advanced Authentication requires an additional separate factor in order to complete the log-in process. This one time pin, or second factor is usually obtained via a phone app, text, hard token or grid card, and it changes every time the user logs in.
